Other Volunteering Opportunities

Heart Savers

Our Heart Saver Team is a dedicated group of volunteers certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the use of Automatic External Defibrillators (AED). These trained individuals stand ready to assist in any medical emergency on our campus, providing crucial care until EMS professionals arrive. Heart Savers are “on call” during services and events, offering peace of mind to our congregation and visitors. We are always seeking new recruits for this vital ministry. If you have the ability to administer CPR on the floor and a desire to help in critical moments, we welcome you to join our Heart Saver Team and make a life-saving difference in our community..

Office Volunteers

We invite you to join our team of volunteers who assist with routine office tasks that keep our church running smoothly. From copying and cutting connection cards to renewing bulletin boards, helping the financial secretary with weekly counting, and stuffing the weekly announcements, there are many ways you can contribute behind the scenes. If you enjoy administrative work or have special skills you’d like to offer, we’d love to have you on our list of volunteers. Your help ensures that our church operations remain organized and efficient, allowing us to better serve our congregation and community.

Rummage Sale

Each year in early November, Shepherd of the Hill’s Church hosts a three-day rummage sale—a major event that draws people from all over the community. This sale is made possible by the dedication of our volunteers. On the third week of most months, we open the donation containers at the back of our campus, where volunteers sort and pack away the donated items on the third Thursday. In the week leading up to the sale, many helpers unpack boxes, display, and price items. During the sale, cashiers and baggers are essential to ensuring everything runs smoothly. Volunteering for this event is not only a wonderful way to serve but also a fantastic opportunity to get to know other members of the church while contributing to a beloved community tradition.

Hospitality Team

This group plays a vital role in supporting Fellowship Hour during the 8:30 service and after the 10:00 service. They welcome help with making and serving coffee, bringing cookies and other treats, and assisting visitors who come to connect and enjoy this time together. If you have a gift for hospitality and enjoy creating a warm and welcoming environment, this is a wonderful opportunity to get involved.
