Wednesday Night Discoveries

Wednesday Night Discoveries returns with three evenings exploring the stories, ideas, and challenges shaping our world.

One of the joys of this series is that each presentation is completely different. This fall, we’ll explore how artificial intelligence is becoming part of everyday life; and hear a powerful story of hope, healing, and restoration from those working with survivors of human trafficking.

Artificial Intelligence: What Everyone Should Know

Artificial Intelligence seems to be everywhere these days, but what exactly is it, and why has it become such a frequent topic of conversation?

On October 21 at 6:00 PM in Fellowship Hall, Justin Phillips will present Artificial Intelligence: What Everyone Should Know, a practical and easy-to-understand introduction to the technology that is becoming an increasingly common part of everyday life. This presentation will help clarify what AI is, how it works, and why it is a big deal. Please sign up and invite a friend.

Where Hope Lives: Hope, Healing, and Restoration

There are stories in our world that can be difficult to hear, but they are important to understand.

On October 28 at 6:00 PM in Fellowship Hall, Elisia Vallejo returns to share Where Hope Lives: Hope, Healing, and Restoration, offering insight into her work with survivors of human trafficking and the journey toward healing and restoration.

As part of this presentation, attendees are invited to bring hygiene products to support the residents served by Where Hope Lives. Needed items include shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, body wash, lotion, and other personal care products. Please sign up and invite a friend.
